Integrating with the Turbo theme
Back in Stock supports integrating with the Turbo theme from Out of the Sandbox. This guide will explain how the integration works and walk you through installing it for your store.
One of the great features of this theme is the Notify Me form built into the product page. This form acts a simple contact form by default: it will send the customer request to the store owner’s email inbox. By installing our Turbo theme integration the customer request is redirect to your Back in Stock account. The customer request is then monitored and the customer is emailed automatically when the requested item is available.
The Back in Stock integration for Turbo also works great with the quick view popups and mobile support.
Backup your theme before installing
Back in Stock will install a new template snippet into your theme and backup your current snippet by renaming it. While this shouldn’t cause any problems it’s very important you keep a backup of your theme just in case something does go wrong.
Backup your theme by logging into Shopify admin and choosing Themes. Find your theme (it should be the current theme at the top) and select Export.
Shopify will send you an email with the theme attached as a ZIP file. Keep this backup in a safe place in case you want to remove the integration in the future.
Install the integration
- Log into your Back in Stock account and choose Customize, then Theme integration.
- Choose Turbo from the theme dropdown
- Confirm you’ve backed up your theme (see previous section) and check the backup confirmation box.
- Hit Install to selected theme
Back in Stock will rename your current product-notify-me.liquid snippet as a backup (usually asproduct-notify-me-1.liquid) and then install an updated snippet which includes the Back in Stock integration.
Test the installation
Find an out of stock product in your store and try out the notification form. You should see the Back in Stock notification appear in your account.

Can’t see the form?
If you don’t see a form on an out of stock product you may need to enable it first in Theme Settings.
- From your Shopify admin page go to Online store, Themes.
- Click Customize theme
- From the list of settings, select Product Page
- Find the setting Enable "Display Back in Stock notification" Form . Make sure this is checked and hit Save.
